| The Eternal Question |
The Egyptian Pyramids are indeed spectacular pieces of art but the question of who built these monsterous monuments still goes unanswered. The debate of who is responsible is on going but each side has its arguments and reasonable evidence supporting their theory. It is believed by many people that the ancient Egyptian civilization is responsible for the construction of the pyramids but others argue that the monuments are too complex and accurate for such a civilization to construct. These people believe that maybe extraterrestrials may have aided the Egyptians in creating the pyramids or they my have created them solely by theirselves. If this is so then why and what for? It is thought by various historians and egyptologist that the pyramids are message or energy beacons left by these aliens, but where is the ancient message they're trying to relay. Because of the remains of the ancient Pharoahs and treasure found inside the egyptian pyramids many reason that the pyramids are simply burial tombs for their godly rulers.

The Egyptian theory suggest that the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids in honor of their pharoahs after-life. This theory suggest that large amounts of hired laborers worked through the flooding period of the Nile. They weren't slaves but mostly farmers who was paid in the form of food and shelter for his family. The Egyptians possessed only the simplest of tools such as copper chisels, dolerite balls, strong timber rope, levers, and sledges. Their first task was to clear the a site for construction. The site that was chosen was usually flat and strong like the granite mountain on which the Pyramid of Khufu was built upon. This would in turn help the process of sinking slow down tremendiously. Granite blocks were then sailed in from the nearby quarries by barges. As they reached the worksite they were assigned to a particular workgang for delivery. Using ropes and heavy timber levers the men would first roll the block onto a wooden sled and tie it down. The block was then dragged to a waitng boat on a row of parallel logs in the sand to prevent the sled from sinking. These images can be seen in Visuals of the Egyptian Theory. Afterwards the blocks were then transferred to the bottom of the pyramid to the top. Although they did not have the knowledge of the wheel to aid them in this task they did take advantage of another technique. Other than large amounts of man power they also poured liquids on the surface on which large element would be slid across on to reduce friction the building elements and the ground. The Egyptians constructed large ramps on circling the pyramid (as shown in the picture to the right) which gave them access to the entire upper level. The blocks where then dragged up the ramps and placed in their disignated position. This thoery is most popular seeing that not to many people believe in aliens, but also because of the wide range of evidence found in or around pyramid construction sites. -Hidden on stone blocks in the pyramids are writting of gang names who help construct the pyramid. -Burial grounds near the pyramids show evidence that ancient egyptians died from causes related to work on the pyramid. -Hieroglyphics portray egyptians moving, pulling, carrying, and lifting stone elements which resemble pieces of the pyramids. -The remains of roadbeds used to slide the sleds carrying blocks of stone can still be observed on neighboring pyramid complexs at Giza. | Egyptian Construction Theory | ||||||||||||||||

| Alien Theory |
There are two main supporting factors for the theory that aliens built the pyramids. -Photographs of the surface of Mars. -The idea that it is physically impossible for humans to have built such a giant creation. When NASA took pictures of the surface of Mars a while back, they forund a mound that when looked at discretly looked somewhat similar to a face. Also when looked upon these photos of the face that actually resemble the sphinx. What makes this significant to the pyramids is that in this same area on Mars called Cydonia there is a similar pyramid complex with an arrangement of either natural or extraterrestrial pyramids similar to the complex of pyramids at Giza. Another fact that points toward out-worldly creation is the Orion theory which states that the pyramids actually date back at least 10,000 years ago. When this is put into calculation the three stars that make up the Orion's Belt of the constellation of Orion are directly above the three pyramids at the Giza complex. This supports the alien theory in that no human being was present 10,000 years ago so that only leaves in the picture another civilization to construct the pyramids.
